Been a long day? If it´s 8am or early evening, come and unwind with me!
This is my fave go-to de-stress and chill pose. I hope this gives you ample goodness and sweetness.
Expect to explore how to set up this shape so you can go get it whenever you need it - offerings are there for you to adapt as you like (remember, it´s your practice!). Also expect a little mini relaxation meditation to help you to coax the body into a more relaxed state. Space to step back into your day if you´re at work or studies, or to stay on longer to unwind even more.
You will need:
* A chair or a sofa to rest your lower legs.
* A blanket/cushion or two for cushy comfort
* An eyepillow or a towel or blanket to cover your eyes.
Stay as long as you like (can!) to reap the benefits of slowing down.
Let me know how it goes (and please feel welcome to comment below on what the chair bum´s official name is - please! lol!)

We´re often encouraged to start from a centred and grounded place that feels supportive. Steady.
...But when is anything ever steady? Really?
I have a self care box at home containing the things that uplift me when i need to feel better. It includes my trusty eye pillow, some oils, words, art tools and so on. I find it useful to have these items always at the ready - a “ritual in a box” if you like, that really helps me practice self care on the regular.
Read on for my tips to create your own self care box!
Thank goodness for our wrists! They, along with our hands, support us in so many ways during the day, so let´s give them a little bit of love!
Feel the need to unwind and get back to your centre?
Take a break in your day to reconnect, realign and reenergise with some twists!
Those days where we think about doing something. Yet it doesn’t quite happen. On those days, i remind myself and others to tread gently.
Here´s a sequence i use when i want to slow things down and practice being a little more tender and gentle.
The possible has been tried and failed. Now it’s time to try the impossible.— Sun Ra
The time has come. I have to jump and, ahem, “just do it”.
As the trees shed their leaves and go back into the earth, we are also afforded the opportunity to draw in, retreat, reflect and reconnect by releasing the stuff we don´t need. Because with endings also come new beginnings. We are part of a bigger cycle.
Many of us have a tendency to be hard on ourselves. We learn from a young age how to be self critical. harsh. pushing. punishing. forcing. harder. faster.
Can we re-educate ourselves to become more tender?
